Prince William and Kate Middleton’s three children, Prince George, eight, Princess Charlotte, six and Prince Louis, three, are automatically put into the spotlight because of their parents. Prince George is the future King as he is third in line to the throne, after his father William, 39, and grandfather Prince Charles, 73. Princess Charlotte will most likely become the Princess Royal like her current great-aunt, Princess Anne, when her father becomes King.

The royal title is usually reserved for the first-born daughter of the monarch.

Prince Louis will also be heavily in the spotlight as his brother will be a future King.

The Cambridge family released their Christmas card for 2021 on Friday, December 10.

Princess Charlotte appeared very grown-up in the photograph in a beautiful gingham dress.

By sharing this photograph, William and Kate are being more accessible as royals and giving Charlotte lots of influence over fashion, experts claimed.

For instance, searches for ‘gingham dress’ rose by 354 percent after Princess Charlotte wore her blue gingham dress from Mango in the family Christmas card.

The dress immediately sold out once royal fans discovered where the dress was from.

The fact Charlotte’s dress was a £25.99 day dress from Mango Kids shows how relatable the Cambridges’ like to appear.

By dressing their children in affordable clothes, they may appear more relatable and accessible.

Prince George was also seen wearing a GAP polo shirt in a camo print which costs £3.38.

Once Prince William becomes King he would be very different from most monarchs who came before him if his children continue to dress in affordable clothing.

The research by casino experts Casino Bee revealed online interest for ‘Gingham Dress’ skyrocketed to three times the average volume in one day.

A spokesperson for Casino Bee commented on the findings for Express.co.uk.

They said: “Princess Charlotte captures the hearts and attention of the public whenever she makes an appearance.

“This Christmas card release is no different.

“Despite being only six-years-old, she holds an enormous amount of influence through her style.

“With any item she is seen wearing, it sells out instantly.

“Unlike previous royal children, the Cambridge children are regularly seen in affordable, high-street clothes as opposed to designer labels.

“This choice from William and Kate highlights their efforts to make the Royal Family appear more accessible and relatable to the British public.

“It gives an insight into the direction that William will take the Royal Family when he reigns.”
