Victoria Sponge fans will be sad to hear that its popularity has plummeted in lockdown.
Previously the nation's favourite cake, it has now been dethroned by lockdown favourite banana bread, according to a survey from Cath Kidston.
The brand used Google Search data from April 2020 to February 2021, and found some very interesting results.
According to the research, banana bread is the most searched for in all regions amongst food lovers – with the cake becoming people's top choice to bake during lockdown.
People in Northern Ireland are the biggest banana bread fans, with the data showing the most search for it in this region.
Meanwhile Victoria Sponge and the other previous top UK favourite lemon drizzle have been dethroned and aren't in any of the regions' top 5!
South West is the most cake-loving region, with most searches overall (when scaled per 100,000 people to remove population factors).
Meanwhile, chocolate cake is also a massive favourite and appears in every region's top 5.
TikTok has also had influences on our cake choices, according to the data A viral trend led to 'frog cake' having the biggest growth in searches over all regions.
If you don't know what these are, it is basically what it says on the tin – a colourful, retro-inspired cake featuring chubby, smiling buttercream frogs on top of it.
It's claimed the hashtag #frogcake has 6.6 million views on social media currently, with many of the recent viral hits having been created within the last month.
The North-East saw the biggest growth in 'frog cake' searches, with 7,100% growth for this. However, it seems to be the least cake obsessed with the least overall searches.
The lockdown has also seen many baking influencers gain popularity during the lockdown.
This includes London baker Eloise Head and her Instagram food account FitWaffle Kitchen.
Her simple recipe for Lotus Biscoff sponge, which uses just three ingredients (Biscoff spread, baking powder and eggs), wowed fans recently as it racked up more than 20,000 likes online.
One fan told her online: "This looks ridiculously good," as another exclaimed: "Delicious! I will be making that."
