A woman has shared an embarrassing story from when she was a 17-year-old virgin and managed to convince herself she was pregnant.
In a TikTok video, Katie @katiexxlilly explains she'd been dating a lad from her school and, although they had never had sex, she thought she had missed her period.
Katie had broken up with him and couldn't reach him on the phone.
After taking a test and seeing two lines pop up on the screen, the panicked teen imagined life as a single mother and having to "tell everyone I'm knocked up".
Katie, impersonating her mum's bewildered facial expressions, then shares the bizarre conversation they had, including when she confessed her ex did "nut in his jeans" and she thinks this conceived a baby.
Her mum then demanded to see the receipt for the test, and tells Katie she has bought an ovulation test rather than a pregnancy test.
The teen took a real pregnancy test, which was negative, and then her period came a short time later.
Luckily Katie, now 10 years older and a married mum, is able to laugh about the story which was watched more than 25million times on TikTok.
One viewer told her: "No because bestie I, too, have taken an ovulation test and panicked that I was pregnant."
"I remember when I thought I was pregnant In high school cause my period was late not realizing I was stressing and that’s why it was late," confessed a second.
Someone else said: "My husband bought one of those thinking it was a pregnancy test. Had to send him back for a real once. Came back positive."
A skeptical viewer commented: "You got your period the day after ovulation?? Hmmm… you sure?"
Ovulation tests are different from pregnancy tests and two lines, of varying opacity, can appear any time during your cycle in response to fluctuating hormones.
