From humble beginnings, Australia’s startup scene has entered a new phase of maturity.

We’re still a long way from Silicon Valley, but the success of Aussie startups-turned-global-giants such as software company Atlassian, design company Canva and fintech Afterpay has blazed a trail on which there appears no shortage of young Aussies hoping to follow.

According to venture capitalist Nick Crocker, there’s never been a better time to found a company in Australia. Nick is one of eight young business leaders featured on a new podcast series Futurepreneur brought to you from the newsrooms of The Sydney Morning Herald and The Age.
