Woman realises she shares common feature with world-famous serial killers

A woman took to TikTok after realising she shares a common accessory with some of the world's most infamous serial killers.

Amelia Fie, who posts on the app under the username @ameliafei, had been watching the Netflix series Dahmer – Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story when she realised she wore similar style glasses to the serial killer.

But after googling Jeffery Dahmer and other famous serial killers, she realised that the aviator frames were common among some of the most sickening criminals.

In her video, which received more than 240,000 likes, she said: "So, all these are really famous serial killers and look at what they have in common.

"They have really, really cool glasses. Don't you think it looks good.?

"Like especially these ones with the lines in the middle? It looks nice. Wow. It must be a type."

In the caption, she added: "Been sick for a week so my voice sounds like this and I’ve been watching the Jeffrey Dahmer show."

Viewers were stunned by the connection as hundreds of users took to the comments to give their opinion.

One user said: "Love your glasses sis, don't look familiar at all."

Another added: "What are you trying to say? [laughing emoji]"

A third commented: "Wait a minute…"

"I bought glasses like this and nobody would leave me alone," a fourth added.

Other serial killers who were known to wear the frames are Dennis Nilsen, Keith Hunter Jesperson, Dennis Raider and Wayne Williams.

In 2013, experts at 2020 Magazine claimed that the frames had a spooky shape which made them popular among killers.

The expert wrote that the design "pull[s] the face and the eyes down with them, giving the illusion that most aviator wearers are sad, frowny-faced or otherwise dealing with some sort of internal personal problem just beginning to bubble to the surface."

"The thin, wire design of most aviators also helps to accentuate wrinkles or age lines in the faces of wearers – whom, as we've already covered, tend to be older anyway."
