Zara Tindall, 41, is the new face of British-heritage brand Musto’s Autumn Winter 2022 lifestyle campaign. The wife of Mike Tindall, who is celebrating his 44th birthday today, released a new video to showcase Musto’s Marina collection which Zara has modelled in a new photoshoot.
Judi James, a body language expert, spoke exclusively to Express.co.uk about Zara’s gestures in her new “very smart” video.
The expert claimed: “This is a very smart video that allows us to see Zara prepping for it and adopting some natural-looking poses as well as giving quite a telling interview that includes more private disclosures.”
Judi expanded on why this video was so “smart”, mainly because of “genius” decisions on Zara’s part that make her look more “modest”.
The expert explained: “Having her appear to be chatting to the hairdresser is genius as it provides an informal-looking setting that keeps any revelations free of drama.
“She is modest, no frills and focused and when she says her mother is her role model, she proves this via her confident and calm vocal tone that makes her sound so much like Anne,” the expert opined.
Despite this interview being a “royal reveal”, Judi argues that it is a “positive royal reveal”.
She explained: “This is a positive royal reveal minus any dramatics, negativity or whingeing.
“And she looks stunning, too, managing to make her model poses look nearly natural and pretty much her own choice.”
Judi previously spoke of Zara’s relationship with her mother, Princess Anne.
She said: “This is one of the closest and most functional parent/child relationships in the Royal Family, with signals of mutual respect and empathy.
“There are obviously many loving parental blends among the royals but with Anne and Zara there seems to be a meeting of minds at every level.
“If you took the weight of the air of royal formality out of Anne’s body language what you would have left would probably look very much like Zara,” the expert suggested.
Judi claims that Zara has more “freedom” than other royals and that this is down to the Princess Royal.
She said: “Anne appears to have given her daughter the freedom she missed out on as a top-tier and very dutiful royal and Zara seems to have paid her mother back by leading the kind of life Anne might have wanted for herself.
“Anne’s gift of freedom has never appeared to have been wasted on Zara and this probably accounts for some of their friendship signals together now.
“Zara’s body language is unrelentingly upbeat and spontaneous and she seems to be openly happy and openly emotional whenever we see her in public.
“She is tactile and expressive and it is notable that she appears to bring out those qualities in her mother when they are together. Anne has often looked dour and rather haughty in the past, but with Zara, there are clear links of shared humour and a sense of fun.”
According to Judi, the two women are bonded by their “high levels of success”.
She explained: “The two women also share high levels of success outside the Royal Family, giving both of them what must feel like a certain amount of confidence that they have earned their place in the public eye and the public’s respect.
“Both have had amazingly successful careers as Olympic-level riders and this shared love of horses plus her shared respect for the discipline involved has thrown up many signals of professional as well as parental respect.”
