Adele says she cant afford to live in London despite whopping £130m net worth

Adele has revealed that she moved to Los Angeles because she "couldn't afford" to buy property in London.

The Sky Fall singer told British Vogue that she invested in three Beverly Hills mansions in order to get better value for her cash.

The Tottenham-native reportedly has a net worth of £130 million and has stumped fans with her new housing revelation.

Adele said: "The kind of house I have in LA I could never afford in London. Ever.

'It's like hundreds of millions of pounds, I don't have that much money at all. I'd throw up."

The Grammy-winner also added that when in London, she spent most of her time "in a car or inside a building" and that she wanted to relocate to a place with "fresh air and somewhere I could see the sky."

Adele also revealed that the Great British weather also had a part to play in her decision.

"Once I had Angelo, in England if you haven’t got a plan with a young child and it’s raining, you’re f***ed," she said.

The star shares her nine-year-old son Angelo with ex-husband Simon Konecki, who she divorced earlier this year.

The musician owns three neighbouring mansions in LA, which come to an estimated value of $30 million (£22m), The New York Post reported.

However, Adele describes her home as "very much a British cottage".

Earlier this year, she splurged on the third home of her compound, which was a stunning four-bedroom, four-bathroom mansion, with a pool and basketball court.

The home was sold for $9,950,000 (£7,307,628) in May this year.

The star lives in a gated area which also includes the homes of Katy Perry, Penelope Cruz, Cameron Diaz, Jennifer Lawrence, and Nicole Kidman, the Post reported.

Meanwhile, her ex Simon, lives in one of the houses, across the road from her own, so "nothing changes for Angelo".

Adele also owns a property in London, which she described as "like Italian or something" adding said that she doesn't "even want to sit down in it."

Her property success nowadays is a far cry from where she came from as she was born and raised by her single mother Penny in a series of south London flats.
