Alice Evans has put her estranged husband Ioan Gruffudd on blast in a scathing social media rant.

Posting to Twitter on Wednesday, the 50-year-old actress deemed the ITV Liar star "disingenuous" after sharing an email she had received from her 48-year-old former partner, in which he claimed his FaceTime call with their daughter Elsie had been "commandeered" by Alice.

Posting a screengrab of the email, Alice wrote: "I don't care that I'm sharing this.

"My time with Elsie was 'commandeered' by you'?

"I haven't spoken to my husband in nine months (his choice).

"Elsie is breaking down. School grades in free[fall]. I was desperate to get his opinion so I DARED to lean in while she was talking to him."

Of her estranged husband, she later tweeted: "This is the real Ioan Gruffudd.

"He refuses to have anything to do with our kids hopes, needs, problems.

"All he was doing when I leaned over was asking our eight-year-old why she hadn't checked out the photos he had sent her. (of French Chateaux) I'm not bending over for this guy."

In another tweet, Alice labelled the Welsh Titanic actor "disingenuous".

She also claimed to have been "ghosted for almost 10 months now" by her former partner of 13 years.

Alice and Ioan met on the set of 102 Dalmatians in 2000.

They tied the knot in 2007 and share two daughters, Ella and Elsie.

Signs of trouble in their marriage were first publicly hinted at by Alice in an Instagram post back in January.

Shortly afterwards, Ioan filed for a divorce from his wife at Los Angeles Superior Court.

In a statement released at the time, the couple said: "As you can imagine, this is an incredibly difficult time for our family and we remain committed to our children.

"Thank you for respecting our privacy."
