Aspen’s first Palm Tree Festival features Kygo and Jack White

For those craving a beach escape during the height of winter, a new music festival coming to Aspen aims to transport skiers to the coast with help from DJ Kygo and alt-rock stalwart Jack White.

Palm Tree Festival surfs into Aspen’s Rio Grande Park on Feb. 24-25, 2023 for the first winter iteration in a series of otherwise beachside music events. The fest — produced by Kygo’s own Palm Tree Crew, entertainment group C3 and local venue Belly Up Aspen — made previous stops in The Hamptons, Cabo San Lucas, and Croatia before landing in the mountains.

The local lineup also includes King Princess, Gryffin, Cannons and Forester.

In a statement, Kygo lauded Aspen for its restaurants, bars and ski amenities, which make the town an ideal destination for the festival.

“I’ve played at Belly Up and the X Games before but this one is going to be very special,” said Kygo. “The lineup has some amazing artists and it’s right in downtown Aspen so it’s going to be a fun one!”

Tickets to Palm Tree Festival go on sale on Dec. 2 at 2 p.m. at palmtreemusicfestival.com/festival/ptc-aspen. Presale begins Dec. 1 at 2 p.m.
