BBC Breakfasts Dan Walker shares snap with rarely seen young son on family trip

Dan Walker recently jetted off to Rome on a family vacation and shared a sweet pic of him and his young son.

The 44-year-old presenter shared a snap of him on his holidays onto his Instagram Stories.

On Friday, the BBC Breakfast host shared the snap among many others to his account and showed fans a little look inside his lavish Italian getaway.

He added the caption: "Me and the lad in Rome" as they posed outside of The Vatican.

This comes after the TV star addressed fans who were asking him whether he's planning to move to London in the future.

The BBC Breakfast presenter, who anchors the show with his co-star Sally Nugent, lives in Sheffield with his beloved wife Sarah and their three children.

He currently commutes to his BBC hosting job at Media City in Salford, Greater Manchester which is less than forty miles from Sheffield.

However, one curious fan wanted to know if he'd ever move to the hustle and bustle of London – where the flagship BBC building is based.

The BBC star took to his Instagram Story last week to offer his 271,000 followers a chance to ask him some questions.

Dan wrote: "What would you like to know?", and one fan asked: "would you ever consider moving to London?"

Replying to the fan in a video, Dan said: "We have lived in London before but I don’t like the idea that you have to live in London to do a decent job.

"So, Sheffield’s brilliant, not too far away from the BBC up north and you can’t get Henderson's Relish in London – very important."

Sheffield is very close to Dan's heart, and he even met his wife Sarah at Sheffield University, when they were both students.

He's also a frequent visitor at Prithiraj on Ecclesall Road – and recently took his former Strictly dance partner Nadiya for a meal there with their co-stars like Tilly Ramsay.

Dan started presenting BBC Breakfast back in 2016 when he took over from past star Bill Turnbull.

He used to host the show with Louise Minchin until she left the show last September.

An avid sports fan, he also started hosting the BBC's NFL Show after previous shot host Mark Chapman decided to step down.
