Big Brother Andrew Tate insists clips were ‘taken out of context’ after Meta ban

Big Brother star Andrew Tate has responded to his recent ban on Instagram and Facebook by social media giants Meta following a controversial clip soaring online.

On Saturday (August 20), the former kickboxer was booted from the beloved social media sites for violating its policies after a video which appeared to depict him attacking a woman went viral.

Soon after the ban was announced online, the Channel 4 star issued a statement in which the TV star claimed that the now famous clips were “taken out of context.”

The star has since said that he received 10,000 death threats a day which he claims Instagram ignored in an interview with LADbible.

He told the publication: “It is very unfortunate that old videos of me, where I was playing a comedic character, have been taken out of context and amplified to the point where people believe absolutely false narratives about me.

“In the last two weeks, I dedicated over one million dollars to charities supporting women.”

Andrew has been branded “misogynistic” online after he soared to stardom on TikTok despite not having an account himself.

It is understood that his unearthed clips have been shared by copycat accounts which have linked to his “Hustler’s University” which seeks to offer financial advice through mentorship-like programmes online.

At the time of his removal, the TV star boasted 4.7million Instagram followers which has grown rapidly from around one million followers just months earlier back in June.

When the star was removed, he initially claimed that the viral video has been edited, as he called the clip “a total lie trying to make me look bad.”

He has now said that those branding him “anti-women” are “simply hate mobs” who are trying to attack him personally and ultimately thinks that a platform should let him back to educate the “youth of today” about respect.

Andrew continued: “It would be good for the future of humanity.

“I have nothing but positivity to spread regarding all people, whether male or female, and this has been reflected in all of my recent messaging and posts.”

The star was also banned on Twitter for saying women should “bear responsibility” for being sexually assaulted.
