In the visuals, the rapper and his collaborator Dee Rogers can be seen rhyming their verses around several guys who hold guns and proudly wave them in the air.
AceShowbiz -Boosie Badazz, who was previously known as Lil Boosie, proved that there’s nothing that can stop him when it comes to his musical projects. Just days after one person was fatally shot during the filming of “Clutchin” music video, the rapper surprised his fans with the visuals.
The music video was published on YouTube on Tuesday, June 1. In the clip, the 38-year-old MC and his collaborator Dee Rogers can be seen rhyming their verses while being surrounded with dozens of guys who hold guns and proudly wave them in the air. The video ends with a message that reads, “Love Live Lil Ran.”
While most fans are excited with the video release, some others find it unwise that Badazz and Rogers proceeded with the rollout for the music video after the shooting. One person in particular argued, “Its all fun and dancing with guns unless someone gets shot.” Another individual added, “Dam I thought they wasn’t finished someone started shooting.”
The incident in question took place in Huntsville, Alabama on Saturday, May 29. While Badazz was left unharmed, a 20-year-old man named Randall Strong Jr. died from the ordeal. Police found Randall lying on the ground with a gunshot wound before EMTs rushed him to the local hospital. He, however, was later declared dead from his injuries.
Christopher Kwan Freeman then turned himself in to the police. The 22-year-old admitted that he was the one who shot Randall after they were caught in an altercation. He was then arrested and charged with murder.
Boozie himself has broken his silence in the wake of the shooting. Insisting that he was not the target, the “One of Them Days Again” spitter wrote on Twitter, “AINT NOBODY TRY TO KILL ME N HUNTSVILLE AL. YALL MFS BE HAPPY TO SPREAD LIES ON ME #LOL.”
