David Hasselhoff’s daughter Hayley has made history as the first plus-size model to pose nude for Playboy.

The 28-year-old model said her famous dad was supportive of her career choices and that she felt “empowered” showcasing her body.

Speaking to the Daily Mail she said: “My dad is very supportive in the choices I make for my own career. My mum and my dad are always very supportive in everything that I have done.

“You have to remember I've been in this industry since I was 14 and I've been a curve model since I was 14.

“We all have different journeys in the curve industry but for me I started out as a curve model and I am still a curve model today.

“To see the progression of where I've gone, to where I am today, I think they're both very, very supportive and they believe in me and all the choices I make in my own career, just like I do for them.”

Despite moments of apprehension she said she felt “empowered” showcasing her body, and hoped it would inspire other curvy women.

She added that making the movement for plus-size women during the pandemic was a great feeling, by letting women know they have 'every right' to celebrate all parts of their bodies.

Despite it being the first time she has ever taken part in something like this, she said the apprehensive feeling soon changed into a positive.

She told herself it was 'the whole reason she was there' that day, and she felt better.

Hayley added the day was 'fun' and 'empowering' and that feeling stayed with her when she left the set.

She felt 'grounded' and that she had 'taken ownership of her body'.

The model said she felt proud of the photos and think they look "gorgeous", and added women's bodies – no matter what size – doesn't have to be objectified if it's celebrated in an 'artful' way.

She went on to say: “Everybody there knew it was for a bigger purpose and being able to showcase that women can be desired and loved no matter what shape or size they are."
