Deborah James shares emotional farewell with her brother

Deborah, who is bravely battling bowel cancer insisted that her brother still makes the trip to Americ, despite her diagnosis.

She said: “[Ben] he’s off to the US. I have told him they have to go, they’ve planned the trip for ages. I also told him he must not come back, under any circumstances,

“He says he’ll come home. It’ll be horrible saying goodbye to him. I can’t really think about it right now.”

Deborah has defied expectations after only being given days to live, and is now taking life "one day at a time".

At the start of June, Deborah shared the wonderful news that her brother had "finally" proposed to his long-term girlfriend Ashley Hall.

She shared her delight with her Instagram followers, but also mourned for the moments she will miss in the future, as she expressed her sadness that she won't be here to see the wedding.

James has been paying tribute to her beloved family members since she shared a goodbye post at the start of May, more recently sharing a sweet picture of her father brushing her hair as she has "no strength".

40-year-old Deborah was first diagnosed with incurable bowel cancer in 2016. She has since campaigned to raise awareness about the illness and raised funds through her Bowel Babe Fund.

At the end of May she announced her collaboration with In The Style, who have recently announced that her collection has raised over £1,000,000 for Cancer Research UK. Deborah expressed her delight, saying to raise £50,000 would but good, but added: "to still be here and see it's over 1mil is just so incredible."
