AceShowbiz -Sean “P. Diddy” Combs has retracted his statement saying R&B was dead. When praising [cJozzy]’s new EP “Songs For Women, Free Game For N***a”, the “Gotta Move On” rapper declared that the genre is back.<
“When I told ya’ll RnB was dead, I was talking about the soul,” the 53-year-old stated on Twitter. “It is what it is! I can tell you right now, IT’S BACK!!!” In a separate tweet, he penned, “THIS IS A MASTERPIECE.”
Later that day, Diddy clarified that he’s not trying to duplicate the success of Bad Boy with Love Records. “WE’RE NOT TRYING TO DUPLICATE BAD BOY!,” he tweeted. “THAT WAS BAD BOY! THIS IS THE LOVE ERA. EVERYTHING WE DO FROM THIS POINT ON IS GOING TO SEPARATE THOSE 2 ERAS BUT ALSO UNITE THEM IN THEIR GREATNESS!!”
Jozzy is the first signee to Diddy’s new label, Love Records. When speaking about the project, which boasts 10 tracks in total, the 32-year-old shared, “This project is about sharing the true emotions women feel navigating relationships while giving men honest game at the same time… I understand both sides of the spectrum, because I have both masculine and feminine energy, which is why I believe the world will relate to the entire body of work
