EastEnders star Dean Gaffney ‘signs up to fourth dating app’ in search for love

Ex-EastEnders star Dean Gaffney isn’t giving up on his search for love, as he’s reportedly signed up to his fourth dating app.

The star, who appeared as Robbie Jackson in Walford from 1993 until 2003 and then from 2017 to 2019, appears to have decided to give Hinge a go.

He’s previously been on Tinder and Bumble, along with celeb-exclusive app Raya.

The app carries a £7.99 subscription fee and includes an extensive vetting system for potential users.

It’s hardly the most unconventional method of seeking out love, as Dean has previously given the all-star experience a go and appeared on E4 show Celebs Go Dating last year.

And the profile includes a publicity snap of him appearing on the show for his new Hinge profile, along with shots of him in sunglasses.

Dean’s preferences on the app reportedly state he won’t go out with a smoker and values "communication, sense of humour and being empathetic" as the key to a good relationship.

He insists he won’t go for women under 30 after a history of dating women younger than him.

The notorious Lothario claims to have bedded more than 1,000 women in the past.

During lockdown, it emerged that the star reportedly made a move on the woman with ‘Britain’s Biggest Boobs’.

And he thought he’d found her in double N-cup Leia Parker, aged 27, who spent £12,000 on breast implants.

But Dean was devastated to discover it was an imposter, who turned down his offer to pay for a cab to his hotel.

He recently split from 26-year-old model Rebekah Ward, who is just two years older than the twin daughters Dean had with his childhood sweetheart.

He recently admitted he’s finally "ready to grow up" and settle down.

Dean said: "We’re all on this planet to fornicate and move forward and reproduce. I don't want to be Peter Pan – I want to grow up.

"And on a rainy, cold Tuesday, I'd like to be on the sofa with my forever girl watching a box set."

Back in January, Dean seemed so eager to start his new love life that he appeared to convince a woman to allegedly break lockdown laws and meet up for an indoor date.

Cindy, his potential date, told The Mirror at the time that she was "disgusted" that he would break the rules, and had attempted to let him down gently.

Dean’s reps insisted it was merely "banter", and said he terminated the exchange when it was pointed out that their meeting would breach lockdown rules.

Though best known for his long-running EastEnders stint, Dean has also appeared in various other shows including Ricky Gervais’ comedy Extras, crime drama The Bill, and the 2006 series of I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here.
