Eurovision 2022 star Sam Ryder, 32, has revealed he wants to thoroughly enjoy his time in "the Eurovision hurricane."
The TikTok star has been praised ahead of his stint in the Eurovision Song Contest and although the UK hasn't won since 1997, fans are adamant this could be the year.
The star is currently at second favourite to win with his track Space Man, but viewers are hoping the social media sensation can bring it home.
Reflecting on how he plans to spend his time during the contest, Sam confessed in an exclusive chat with Daily Star that he doesn't want to damage his voice, but also wants to fully enjoy the experience.
He said: "I want to make sure I soak in the experience and enjoy it. But also I don’t want to ruin my voice by going out. I am going to play it by ear and see how it goes."
Sam revealed he's been told that Eurovision is a one of a kind experience and wants to make sure he looks back at "the Eurovision hurricane" with no regrets.
The 32-year-old quipped: "I am definitely going to enjoy my time in the Eurovision hurricane because I’ve been told there is nothing else like this experience.
"I don’t want to be old and look back and be like, ‘I didn’t go to any of it because I was worried about my voice’."
Before taking Eurovision by storm, Sam went viral on TikTok after catching the attention of singers like Justin Bieber, Dua Lipa and Alicia Keys during the pandemic.
The online sensation, who has around 12.4 million followers, went on to secure a record deal with Warner Music Group label Parlophone, which boasts acts like Coldplay and David Guetta.
The decision to choose Sam for Eurovision was made by the BBC and music management company TaP Music.
The UK have ended up bottom of the leader board in the competition for the last two years, therefore fans are hoping Sam is the one to lead the country in an epic turnaround.
