Gigi and Bella Hadid's aunt Ghada has sadly died after suffering a "heart attack and Covid battle", their dad Mohamed confirmed in a heartfelt tribute.
Their 73-year-old father shared a sweet throwback image of his sister along with his own emotional words on Wednesday
Mohamed wrote: "My beautiful eldest sister passed 730 eastern United States."
He went on: "Palestinian born in Nazareth Palestine, she and our parents were Forced out of our home in Safad she Endured the refugee life … and a world of Success.
"My sister may God open the Gates of Heaven wide open and give Ghada an easy entry you will be among the most beautiful Palestinians in heaven Momma wa baba Magida Maha our beloved cousin Zuhair and all the freedom fighters of Palestine to greet you.
"You have been a voice for peace."
The post concluded: "You left legacy @linahadid to fight for us all. We love you."
Mohamed praised his brother-in-law within the comments section.
Gigi's dad wrote: "And her beloved Husband Glenn the most wonderful human ever May God give him the strength to lessen his pain. We are here for you…"
Showing support to her father, Gigi, 26, commented on the post: "Love you baba."
Paying respect to her aunt, the supermodel also took to her own Instagram story to pay tribute to her beloved aunt.
Meanwhile, younger sibling Bella, 25, who had travelled to Washington DC with her father to say one final goodbye to her aunt, also paid tribute on Instagram.
Re-sharing the same images as her dad, Bella penned: "I was honored to know Ghada.
"She opened her home to me. She was always full of life and love and support."
The model added: "She encouraged me and lent me strength, an amazing woman.
"We Palestinians are lucky she was one of us."
Just days ago, Mohammed warned about his sister's health condition in sad post, asking fans and loved ones to "pray for this wonderful woman".
