Gogglebox’s Scarlett Moffatt unrecognisable as young dancer in throwback snap

Scarlett Moffatt looks completely different as a young dancer in a throwback snap shared on social media.

The 30-year-old television personalty reminisced about her dancing days on her BBC Sounds podcast Scarlett Moffatt Want To Believe, which she hosts with boyfriend Scott Dobson.

Gogglebox alumi Scarlett competed in local, regional and national dance competition when she was younger.

In the latest episode of the podcast, the couple discuss the dancing plague from the 15th century which prompts Scarlett to bring up her childhood as a dancer.

She said: "I used to love going to dance comps. When all this is over I want to try and get back into it. I miss it.

"Do you know what's funny? Obviously now fake tan's a thing like loads of people wear fake tan, but back when I was six, which was 1996/97, and you'd have to were tan for dance comps and there wasn't really much tan about, and I had to use bodybuilder tan."

She added: "I looked mahogany. And we used, you know like a paint roller.

"So I was like six, and I'd have bodybuilder tan on and shoe polish in my hair."

A photograph of the bubbly reality star as a youngster wearing a stunning yellow dress flashes up in a promotional video for the podcast, which Scarlett shared on her Instagram grid.

Unsurprisingly a majority of the star's followers rushed to the comment section to leave a message for the star after spotting the cute picture.

One fan gushed: "How cute did you look though."

Another added: "You always were a cracker."

While third person posted: "I love you @scarlettmoffatt you’re just real and genuine!"

It's not the first time Scarlett has reminisced about there dancing days in recent times.

She previously shared a snap of her wearing a fuchsia pink costume with belt buckle detail at the front and sides.

The Geordie beauty also posted footage of her as a 10 year old dancing at the Winter Gardens in Blackpool.

Scarlett shot to fame on Gogglebox alongside her parents Mark and Betty and has enjoyed a glittering career since leaving the Channel 4 show in 2016.

Discussing whether or not she'd ever return to reality series, Scarlett told Entertainment Daily: "Never say never. I still do watch TV and chat non-stop – much to the annoyance of Scott.

"Although I would say I'm less critical now after actually being in the TV industry.

"I love watching Gogglebox, it's like a talking TV guide."

Gogglebox returns to Channel 4 on Friday February 26 at 9pm
