Harvey Weinsteins deformed genitalia to be laid bare in new sex crimes trial

Harvey Weinstein's reportedly "deformed" genitalia will be discussed in detail as he goes on trial for his alleged further sex crimes.

The disgraced Hollywood producer, 70, is currently serving a 23-year prison sentence after being found guilty of several counts of rape and assault in New York City in February 2020.

On Monday (October 24), Weinstein was summoned to court to face four further charges of sexual assault in Los Angeles.

Denying any non-consensual sex had occurred, Weinstein pleaded not guilty to the charges.

In his opening statement, LA Deputy District Attorney Paul Thompson told jurors they will hear "unique things" about Weinstein's body from his accusers during the trial – including descriptions of his testicles.

The jailed mogul is believed to have had his testicles "put into his inner thighs" during a surgical procedure in 1999.

The unusual surgery is believed to have been the result of Weinstein suffering from an acute genital infection known as Fournier's gangrene.

Thompson said (via New York Post): "What I'm referring to is the result of a surgery that the defendant had in 1999.

"Because of an infection, his testicles were actually taken from his scrotum and put into his inner thighs.

"None of the Jane Does will describe his anatomy perfectly, but most of them will be able to describe these abnormalities that they observed during the assaults."

Thompson added that jurors are likely to be shown photos during the trial which will depict the "pretty noticeable scarring" left on Weinstein's body following the surgery.

Weinstein is alleged to have committed the four incidences of sexual assault in Los Angeles between 2004 and 2013 – with all four accusers expected to only be identified as Jane Does.

Four other women will also testify that Weinstein sexually assaulted them, though their allegations didn't lead to criminal charges.

Weinstein's lawyer Mark Werksman said in his own opening statements that prior to the #MeToo movement, it had been commonplace for women in Hollywood to trade sex for career advancement.

Werksman said: "Hollywood … was an entirely different place. In Hollywood, sex was a commodity. That's the way things were done."

Previously, former actress Jess Mann revealed that she had thought Weinstein's genitals were "deformed" when she testified the producer had sexually assaulted her during his New York trial.

Mann said: "The first time I saw him fully naked, I felt, I thought he was deformed and intersex.

"He has extreme scarring that I didn’t know if maybe he was a burn victim. He does not have testicles and it appears like he has a vagina."
