Holly Hagan devastated as she’s forced to rearrange lavish wedding in Ibiza

Holly Hagan is the latest bride-to-be left devastated after Covid ruined her dream summer wedding plans.

The 28-year-old Geordie Shore star had big plans to marry Jacob Blyth in a stunning ceremony in Ibiza next month.

Unfortunately for the lovebirds, the Covid traffic light system for travel has put an end to their romantic dream, at least for now.

The Balearics, where Ibiza sits, is currently in the ‘amber’ zone for Brits to travel to.

This means visitors will have to isolate for ten days at home.

A source close to the reality TV star told The Sun: “Holly’s had to pull the plug on her wedding in Ibiza.

“Like so many other brides Holly has been really put through the ringer with her wedding and she is hugely upset.

“Holly has started telling people about the cancellation now. So much goes into planning a wedding and obviously Holly is just desperate to marry Jacob. She just wants to be his wife but also wants the wedding she has dreamt of for years.

They are hopeful it won’t be too long until they can say ‘I will’ but for now all plans are on ice.”

The Geordie Shore stunner has been discussing her wedding plans with fans openly, but last week was forced to ask people to stop asking her what was happening.

She said it was “impossible and draining" answering all of their questions about her upcoming wedding.

Instead, she put all of the details in one post, and underneath it she wrote: "Please don't message about how gutted and sorry you are for us, we're fine, what will be will be."

Holly has previous told fans why she didn’t want to get hitched in the UK: "Technically I could move the wedding to England, I've seen some beautiful wedding venues for the winter. We were always going to do a winter wedding after the Ibiza one.”

"But I just don't want to take away that magical moment of getting married on the island where we first met, on the exact first date we first ever spoke four years later.”

"It meant so much, every single thing had a symbolic meaning. It will just be a case of us moving it to next year."

Ibiza is very special to the couple, after fiancé Jacob proposed to Holly at Cotton Beach Club in Ibiza back in June 2019.

The loved-up pair shared pictures and videos of the romantic moment he got down on one knee.

Holly has posted on Instagram that the wedding is being rearranged for 2022.

The stunning brunette posted a new picture on Instagram confirming the news, looking incredible in white bridal lingerie and matching veil.

She wrote: "To be honest I feel like a weight has been lifted of my shoulders. We had been positive the whole way through but as a safety net I never once let myself get excited. Although I did spend 2 days packing my case."

“Prepare for the worst and hope for the best” had been my phrase for this and tbh that’s not how you should feel about one of the biggest days of your life.

She continued: "At the end of the day I’m so lucky to have found the man I want to spend the rest of my life with and what’s an extra year when we have forever."

Holly says the couple aren't in any hurry: "We're not going to rush into a wedding for the sake of it just to say we’re married. I want us to have the day we always dreamed of, and if we have to wait another year for it then that’s just another year to do it bigger and better."

"When the time finally comes we are going to be even more grateful and overwhelmed with the people we have around us and each other" she added.

She asked fans not to feel sorry for her: "So please don’t feel bad for us we are so blessed to be healthy and happy. I am just so terribly devastated for the travel and wedding industries around the world. I hope more than anything they are able to survive another year of this."
