After a challenging few years of shutdowns and a sweeping new set of protocols amid the COVID-19 pandemic, Broadway has finally been shining a bit brighter as of late. With all of the excitement surrounding its latest musicals and shows, this year’s Tony Awards are definitely not one to miss. So grab your dancing shoes and glitziest ‘fit, and let’s get into everything you need to know about how to watch 2022 Tonys!

When Are the 2022 Tony Awards?

The Tony Awards—aka the Tonys—are usually held on the first or second Sunday of June, and this year is no exception. The ceremony is set to air on June 12, 2022 at 8 p.m. ET and last until 11 p.m. ET. A pre-show celebration will commence prior to the standard event from 7 to 8 p.m. ET, with the exclusive content streaming on Paramount+.

Okay, Love It Already! Where and How Can I Watch the Tonys?

If you have cable at your disposal, you’re in luck! CBS holds the exclusive rights to air the Tonys on TV, but the good news is you’ll also be able to stream it on a bunch of platforms, including: Paramount+, DirecTV Stream, Hulu+ Live TV, YouTube TV, and Sling TV. Before tuning in, though, def make sure to check out the full list of 2022 nominees here.

Where Are the Tonys Held?

This year, the 75th annual Tony Awards will be at Radio City Music Hall. I mean, could there be a more iconic venue for the event? It’s hosted here almost every year for a good reason.

Is There a Show Format?

Glad you asked! This year’s awards will feature two parts: a one-hour awards segment followed by a three-hour performance-heavy portion. The latter will be hosted by none other than Ariana DeBose, who just took home the Best Supporting Actress Award at the 2022 Oscars for her role as Anita in the 2021 Steven Spielberg remake of West Side Story. (She is the first Afro-Latina and openly queer woman of color to win an Oscar, which is huge.)

Is There a Tonys Red Carpet This Year?

Yes!!! For all of the ~fashion~ moments and cool celeb interactions pre-ceremony, you can tune in to CBS’s Twitter feed at 5 p.m. ET the day of the event. Enjoy!
