Justin Timberlake confirms he and Jessica Biel welcomed second baby last summer

Cry Me a River singer Justin Timberlake has confirmed he and wife Jessica Biel secretly welcomed a second child last summer.

The hitmaker told Ellen DeGeneres they welcomed a second baby into the family and five-year-old son Silas is happy to be a big brother.

The couple gave birth to the bouncing baby boy in July, which they have named Phineas.

The SexyBack singer told the talk show host: "His name is Phineas, and he’s awesome and so cute, and nobody’s sleeping.

"But we’re thrilled, couldn’t be happier and grateful."

Phineas, often a boys name, has Hebrew origin, possibly from the name Pinchas, which means 'oracle'.

Rumours of the pair's new bundle of joy broke last year, but the family have only just confirmed the new addition.

The 39-year-old singer-actor, and his wife, Jessica, 38, are already parents to Silas, five.

Ellen, 62, asked what was different about having a second child.

Justin jokingly replied: "We don’t see each other anymore. No, it’s a lot of fun…Silas is super excited"

The singer said his eldest son is 'very much' liking having a baby brother.

Last summer, the Daily Mail reported the power couple had welcomed their second child, reporting Biel's mother, Kimberly Conroe Biel, 65, had spent time with her daughter and newest grandchild.

The acting duo haven't been pictured publicly since March and are believed to have been staying at their home in Montana since March 25.

A photo from that day, posted to Instagram by Timberlake, shows Biel from a distance in a snow valley surrounded by mountains.

No photos showing the now mum-of-two have been seen from the waist down since her birthday.

Instead, the couple focused their social media highlighting causes close to their hearts, like justice for Breonna Taylor and Black Lives Matter.

They also shared throwback photos of themselves over the past year.

Justin and Jessica's baby joy comes eight months after the singer spoke publicly to address rumours he had grown close to his Palmer co-star Alisha Wainwright.

Posting on social media, he wrote at the time: "I stay away from gossip as much as I can, but for my family, I feel it is important to address recent rumours that are hurting the people I love.

"A few weeks ago, I displayed a strong lapse in judgement – but let me be clear – nothing happened between me and my co-star.

"I drank way too much that night and I regret my behaviour. I should have known better.

"This is not the example I want to set for my son."

Justin added: ‘‘I want to apologise to my amazing wife and family for putting them through such an embarrassing situation, and I am focused on being the best husband and father I can be."
