Katie Price leaves court in fluffy pink slippers after entering guilty plea

Katie Price wore a pair of fluffy pink slippers as she left court on Wednesday – after pleading guilty to drink driving.

The reality star appeared to be sporting a bright pink sweatshirt along with the comfy slippers as she exited Crawley Magistrates' Court on Wednesday (29 September).

It comes as the mum-of-five pleaded guilty in court to driving under the influence, driving while disqualified, and driving without a licence after a car crash on Tuesday morning.

The 43-year-old was could be seen being covered by a blanket as she left the Crawley court, and she was snapped getting into a blue car before being driven away.

Katie's is set to go into rehab for treatment at the Priory Centre, which means her sentence has been deferred until December 15 to allow her to speak to the probation service.

At court, Chair of the bench Julie Hutton told Katie she was free to go but wouldn't be allowed to drive in the meantime.

She said: "We regularly send people to prison for driving whilst disqualified."

The I'm A Celeb star was told that her sentence would be deferred on the condition that she undergo treatment at the Priory Centre and would not commit any more offences in the meantime.

Price was also told that she was be banned from driving in the interim, and that she would have to speak to the probation service as a report would need to be prepared.

At the court hearing today, the room heard that Katie had said: "I took drugs, I should not be driving, I admit it all" after the car crash when she was confronted by police.

Prosecutor Debbie Jones told the court that a drugs wipe gave a positive reading for cocaine.

Katie's defence solicitor, Joe Harrington, claimed that the star was going through a "really difficult period" in her life.

He told the court: "She has had a lot of personal problems recently.

"Currently she is in the process of bankruptcy proceedings, so her house may be repossessed.

"So, quite a lot going on in this lady’s life, a really difficult period."

Harrington added that Katie's driving was a "one-off" incident, stating that the star had decided to visit a friend after being at home and feeling lonely.

The legal aide asked the magistrates to defer Katie's sentencing for several weeks.

Following the crash, Sussex Police told Daily Star: "Katie Price, 43, of Worthing Road, Horsham, was charged with using a motor vehicle on a public place without third party insurance and driving whilst disqualified."

On Tuesday, a police spokesman told Daily Star that Katie was "arrested on suspicion of driving while above the legal limit for alcohol and drugs and has been taken to hospital to be checked over."

Following her arrest, Katie's family took to Instagram to reveal that they had been left "concerned" for Katie's wellbeing for some time.

Her loved ones wrote: "As a family, we have for some time been concerned about Kate's wellbeing and overall mental health.

"Today our worst fears nearly came true.

"As a family, we have been and will continue to help Kate get the help she needs.

"We hope that she will realise that she cannot battle her issues alone."
