Katie Price’s Mucky Mansion TV show dismay after only pulling in 900,000 viewers

Has troubled former glamour girl Katie Price finally had her chips? Her new Channel 4 show Mucky Mansion drew just 900,000 viewers on Wednesday.

It was beaten by BBC Two’s Inside The Factory with Gregg Wallace – which focused on how tortilla chips are made – on 1.2million.

The former glamour model’s new show sparked a flurry of reaction from viewers when it was finally broadcast on Channel 4 on Wednesday night.

The show, which sees the star transform her dilapidated Sussex home after years of neglect and disasters including a fire and break-ins, sparked questions about how the mum-of-five can afford to make such drastic renovations after she was declared bankrupt in 2019.

Taking to Twitter to share their thoughts on the show, fans didn't hold back when they questioned Katie's latest show.

One tweeted: "I thought Katie Price was bankrupt? How is she affording these renovations? Genuinely interested to know!"

Another added: “How does she get to keep her house when she's bankrupt?”

However, many fans defended her and loved watching the show.

One came to her defence saying: "Really enjoyed the show and Jett's room looked great and more importantly he loved it! Can't wait to see the rest of the transformations.

"Despite what people may think about @KatiePrice its clear how much she loves her kids and how important sorting out her home is."

It was previously reported that Katie landed a £45,000 payday for the Channel 4 series, and avoided paying a penny for renovations to her 'Mucky Mansion.'

Despite the multiple renovations that were needed to her West Sussex mansion, Katie paid nothing towards the costs, while receiving a hefty fee for starring in the series.

A spokesperson for Channel 4 told MailOnline: “Production did not pay for the costs of any renovations of the house.”

The 43-year-old recently announced her latest money-making venture when she announced her new platform on x-rated site OnlyFans, saying: "It is something I'm born to do."

She announced the career move during a press conference at a London studio on Wednesday where she was dressed as a nun.
