Kim Kardashian has finally opened up about the controversial Balenciaga campaign that showed a little girl holding a bondage teddy bear.

The shocking images have since been pulled by the luxury brand – who often use “provocative” imagery – and it has apologised unreservedly for its bad taste.

But now Kim, normally a massive Balenciaga collaborator, has distanced herself and said she is “reevaluating her relationship” with it.

The mum-of-four has also said that she expects the brand to take action to protect children and that she is both “disgusted and outraged” by the pictures.

In one of the campaign images, a little girl is seen clutching a teddy bear dressed in bondage gear and surrounded by items like whips and chains.

Kim, 41, went on to say that “attempts to normalise child abuse has no place in our society.

As one of the most influential women on the planet, Kim made it her mission to speak to the Balenciaga team to find out “how this happened”.

In a statement, she said: “As a mother of four, I have been shaken by the disturbing images.

“I appreciate Balenciaga’s removal of the campaigns and apology.

“In speaking with them, I believe they understand the seriousness of the issue and will take the necessary measures for this to never happen again.”

“As for my future with Balenciaga, I am currently re-evaluating my relationship with the brand, basing it off their willingness to accept accountability for something that should have never happened to begin with — and the actions I am expecting to see them take to protect children.”

The teddy bears are actually handbags and Balenciaga has since said in a statement: “Our plush bear bags should not have been featured with children in this campaign.

“We have immediately removed the campaign from all platforms.

“We strongly condemn the abuse of children in any form. We stand for children's safety and well-being.”
