Liam Gallagher health fears as he cuts gig short after falling ill during show

Liam Gallagher says he was left gutted to have to cut a gig short after falling ill mid-performance.

The rocker, 49, has taken to social media to address fans after he reportedly left the stage just 30 minutes into his set at Festival Bureaugard in France on Friday (July 8) night.

He has since apologised to festival goers after throwing down his maracas and tambourine before walking off while performing Oasis hit Stand By Me.

"I was so disappointed to have to cut the set short. I have been diagnosed today with laryngitis and am on Doctors orders to get some rest. Unfortunately that means I have to cancel my upcoming show in Cognac.

According to reports a message was broadcast on giant screens to confirm that "for reasons beyond our control, Liam Gallagher's concert had to be cut short."
