Little Mix make emotional speech at wrap party after final tour performance

Little Mix signed off with an emotional speech ahead of their indefinite break after the last show of their Confetti tour.

The girl group addressed friends and family at a wrap party after bringing the curtain down on the tour with a third performance at London's O2 Arena.

Trio Perrie Edwards, 28, Leigh-Anne Pinnock, 30, and Jade Thirlwall, 29, are expected to embark on solo careers during their hiatus after forming on X Factor over a decade ago.

Clips from the party shared on a fan account showed Jade, Leigh-Anne and Perrie addressing the crowd before the celebrations.

An emotional Jade said: “We love each other so much. We are sisters. We are family.

“It is very bittersweet but it is the best time to do this because we are stronger than ever."

The Sweet Melody singer added: “We are happier than ever. And we're already counting down to the reunion, so don't worry about it!”

Other videos showed the Shoutout To My Ex singers enjoying drinks and dancing to their own tunes.

Earlier the trio had shed tears as they performed for the last time before their indefinite break.

The concert, titled The Last Show (for now…), was streamed around the world online so that their fans could tune in.

Perrie had reportedly defied doctor's orders by singing despite battling a throat infection on Thursday, telling the crowd: “There is no way I was missing out!”

The group, who saw Jesy Nelson quit in 2020, have promised not to battle each other in the charts by staggering their releases.

Perrie told The Sun: “We've all said we will let each other know when we're going to release so we don't end up clashing in the charts. We're rooting for each other, not competing against each other."

She added: “Honestly, we haven't even parted ways yet and we're already talking about when we're coming back! We're like, 'Is two years away enough? Two and a bit years?''

The girls have frequently been keen to stress they're "not splitting up" and promise fans more "music, tours and performances" in the future.
