Love Island 2021 star Sharon Gaffka has secret connection to Molly-Mae Hague

Love Island beauty Sharon Gaffka will be entering the villa next week as she attempts to find love in front of the nation while millions tune in to watch the reality TV show at 9pm next Monday.

While it's likely that contestants are feeling nervous, Sharon should be feeling a boost of confidence after revealing she has an unexpected connection to 2019 runner-up Molly-Mae Hague.

The new reality babe also took part in beauty pageants, like Molly-Mae, and even landed herself the title of Miss International UK – but it's not all mere coincidence.

Prior to her entrance to the villa, Sharon shared her celeb connection when she was asked if she knew any former islanders.

She said: "I used to do pageants. Molly-Mae and I had the same pageant director. I was Miss International UK."

The 25-year-old has focused on even more than pageants and love over the past few years, with a career as a civil servant growing since she was 18.

Sharon said: "I've worked in lots of different departments. I've been doing Brexit policy for the last year, I did a stint during the coronavirus pandemic in the Department of Health so I was helping deliver testing kits and managing the operations. It's been an intense year!"

Not only that, Sharon is also a Young Women's Trust Ambassador, something which she felt committed to after she went to Japan for Miss International.

She has supported women as an ambassador against domestic violence, period poverty and organisations and charities.

Despite her clearly busy schedule, Sharon has shared her excitement to go back to normality and be able to date without thinking about when she's going to see someone next.

The babe is looking to match with an intellectual hunk – and someone who loves Junkyard Golf as the perfect spot for their first date.

There are plenty of men in the line-up for her to choose from, but if we know Love Island, there are going to be some surprise guests popping their head in along the way too.

11 new singles will step into the villa looking for a summer of love following 18 months of a dating rut.

Six new women and five new men have been confirmed as the first contestants going into the villa – but who will couple up with who?

Love Island starts at 9pm Monday 28th June on ITV2 and ITV Hub.Episodes are available the following morning on BritBox
