‘Love Island stars should stay home and shut up’ says Ryan-Mark Parsons

Ryan-Mark Parsons says: "It’s hilarious: Love Island influencers with one brain cell are trying to convince the rest of us that they’re “grafting” abroad in luxury destinations like Dubai.

"Annoyingly, one of my favourite places in the world has been tarnished and afforded the same reputation as Benidorm.

"I won’t be going again.

"These trashy social media stars have plagued places in the United Arab Emirates, and using the excuse they’re "working hard" to justify these extravagant excursions in the middle of a pandemic.

"The government has consistently advised “essential trips” only, which doesn’t include this type of travel.

"Here’s the thing, the UK faces the worst death rate from coronavirus in the world, yet all of these UK social media celebs don’t mind fervently showing off their sponsored trips to Brits suffering at home.

"If what they’re saying is true, fine, work and grow your empire quietly; pictures of you by a busy pool and videos of alcohol-fuelled parties doesn’t exude "hard work".

"My issue comes in two parts.

"One, I don't believe they're being honest about their intentions to travel.

"Two, they should’t be travelling during a national lockdown. Full stop.

"Do your teeth whitening kit adverts at home, not Abu Dhabi. Very simple."

Laura Anderson

  • Staggering amount TV stars are raking in for posing in Dubai sun – despite one moaning

Taking to Instagram, the Love Island contestant explained people don’t realise how “hard it is”… Excuse me?

What part of flying abroad to a gorgeous country and taking a few snaps for a brand collaboration or recording a few videos is hard?

Harder than working on the frontline like Love Island’s Dr Alex? Rescuing hundreds of Covid patients from the clutches of death?

How about you spend some time in an NHS ICU and then figure out if your work is hard?

These stars are getting paid exorbitant fees for advertising products to their followers, most of which they’ve probably never used.

I find it disgustingly insulting to NHS workers and people with real jobs, struggling to feed their families and sometimes holding down many positions, that someone like Laura can call her "work" hard.

Do shut up.

Anton Danyluk

  • Love Island's Anton accused of lying as he loses 12lbs in seven-day transformation

Since posting the wondrous skylines of Dubai from his “office”, Anton Danyluk has dropped 14,000 followers on Instagram.

He’s been holidaying in Dubai since December 10, snapping various pictures by the pool, dining out, and smoking shisha – sounds so laborious and definitely “essential”!

They’re all tone-deaf; we don’t want to see it. Stop sharing it.

I’ve worked with brands on Instagram, TikTok etc, and for 12 weeks I was paid generously for very little work.

I spoke about the brand, shared product pictures and videos, and uploaded a few links.

Took me 30 minutes each week. Nothing about that would constitute as hard work.

Wake up!

At least 14,000 followers have come to their senses.

Olivia Attwood

  • Olivia Attwood tells fans to unfollow celebs in Dubai after swipe at Laura Anderson

Thank goodness someone from within is shedding light on this fiasco and exposing these work-shy Islanders.

Olivia Attwood, Love Island veteran, hit out at fellow influencers and urged fans to unfollow celebs who have flouted coronavirus rules or have clearly acted duplicitously in delineating their reasons for travel.

Speaking to Grazia, Olivia explained she’s been “working the whole time, [she's] working more than all of them”.

Even more scandalous: she’s been working from Manchester.

Goodness! Working from the UK as an influencer, is that possible? Can’t be true.

Well, it is.

Olivia has been bold and slammed influencers for claiming their holiday is for "work" and criticised the Dubai influencer mob saying when “you’re on the beach telling us ‘you don’t know how hard it is’” you’re disregarding the real hardships taking place at home.

Thanks Olivia for proving that not everyone from Love Island has the intellectual capacity and empathy of a plank of wood.

James Lock

Fans of TOWIE have called for the reality star to be fired, following countless pictures taken during his "work" trip in Dubai.

He has shared sun-filled snaps of yacht trips, showing off some of Dubai’s famous landmarks all in the name of "social media influencing" and the arduous nature of the job.

In order to pacify fans and dispel rumours, James has taken pictures of unspecified graphs on his laptop and told his followers that he was “working away, despite what you may think”.

You can’t make this up!

He attempted to vindicate his 3,400-mile trip by saying he and his girlfriend, Yazmin Oukhellou, rely on “multiple sources of income”, including “trading” which allows them to “work from anywhere in the world”.

Right… So why travel so far to trade from your laptop when it can be done in the UK?

Doesn’t add up, because it’s nonsense and painful to listen to.

Dr Alex George

  • Love Island's Dr Alex George opens up about finding out his brother killed himself

Throughout the pandemic, Love Island hero, Dr Alex has been working tirelessly in Lewisham’s A&E ward.

All the while his TV pals jet off to party in Dubai.

Shambolic.

Speaking to Lorraine, Dr Alex detailed the pressures mounting in hospitals, with “growing numbers", adding: "I think there’s a great concern how many patients are being admitted to hospital."

This kind of influence is what we need more of.

Not the likes of Chloe Ferry wearing a thong in front of the Burj Al Arab.

It’s tasteless and harmful, especially when the government advises “essential” travel for work, this behaviour is reprehensible and revolting.

As Olivia Attwood emphasised, let’s not support rule-benders and show our discontent by unfollowing them.

These people should yield no influence over anyone.
