Mandy Moore welcomes baby boy with Taylor Goldsmith as she shares cute snap

Mandy Moore and Taylor Goldsmith have announced the birth of their baby boy .

The happy couple's news was confirmed with an adorable snap showing the tot asleep in a blue baby grow.

Confirming the happy news, Mandy wrote: "Gus is here.

"Our sweet boy, August Harrison Goldsmith. He was punctual and arrived right on his due date, much to the delight of his parents.

"We were prepared to fall in love in all sorts of brand new ways, but it goes beyond anything we could have ever imagined. M + T."

Throughout her career Mandy has spoken openly about wanting to start a family some day.

When she was starting out, she admitted her focus was her career but insisted she dreamed of having a baby.

She told Parents: "I’m not sure when.

"Right now, my main focus and priority is my career, but that won’t always be the case."

Speaking last month to Romper, Mandy spoke candidly about struggling to conceive.

Talking abut how when she and Taylor did start trying they ran into a few issues, she bravely explained: "Because of this issue with my uterus, I was very hesitant to believe it and put any stock in it.

"I sort of was holding my breath until 12 weeks."

The couple announced the pregnancy in September last year via a cute black and white Instagram snap.

Talking about becoming parents, Mandy said of Taylor: "I think he's been suited to be a father for pretty much his whole life.

"He's been gearing up for this.

"Like in the morning, it's funny, I'll reach for my phone and he'll reach right for whatever baby book he's reading."
