Meghan Markle is allegedly holding a "grudge" against pop icon Katy Perry.

Prince Harry and his wife, The Duchess of Sussex officially stepped away from royal duties in 2020 and subsequently moved to Montecito, California in the United States.

Whilst Prince Harry seems to be ingratiating himself nicely within the Hollywood scene, the same cannot be said for the former Suits actress who, according to a source close to members of Meghan's circle, continues to hold a "grudge" against the California Girls recording artist.

Whilst reports have been circulating the Duke of Sussex has reportedly struck up a friendship with fellow Brit Orlando Bloom, according to a Los Angeles source, the same cannot be said for their respective wives, Meghan Markle and Katy Perry.

An source exclusively told The Daily Star: "Orlando is very sympathetic towards Harry and Meghan and does reach out if he ever sees anything suspicious in the neighborhood."

The source added: "However, Meghan is keenly aware of a comment that Katy Perry made in 2018 about her wedding dress and is notorious for holding a grudge."

Katy Perry previously joked to Entertainment Tonight that she "would’ve done one more fitting." when asked about the wedding during an event to promote American Idol in May of 2018, for which she is a popular judge on the programme.

But according to the source, Meghan took this joke too personally and still holds Katy accountable to this day.

The LA source explained: "While the comment wasn't meant to be hurtful, Meghan felt under siege at that time and was overwhelmed by arguments with staff, the Duchess of Cambridge, and Thomas Markle."

They added: "I would not expect to see Meghan and Katy carpooling to PTA meetings anytime in the future!"

However, despite good feelings, a source also poured water onto previous speculations to the extent of the friendship between Prince Harry and the former Troy actor Orlando Bloom, as she revealed the pair are not as close as previously reported.

They explained: "While Harry is sincerely grateful to anyone that is proactive in protecting his family, The Duke of Sussex and Orlando fit more into the acquaintance category than friends."
