Boris Johnson could soon face his "tipping point" according to Piers Morgan following the recent breakdown of the government.

It comes after two of BoJo's top MPs announced their resignation and had no faith in the Prime Minister.

Chancellor Rishi Sunak and Health Secretary Sajid Javid have sensationally resigned from Boris Johnson's cabinet, citing that there had been levels of incompetence.

Announcing his resignation, Rishi said: "The public rightly expects the government to be conducted properly, competently and seriously.

"I recognise this may be my last ministerial job, but I believe these standards are worth fighting for and that is why I am resigning."

While Sajid Javid added: "I have spoken to the Prime Minister to tender my resignation as Secretary of State for Health & Social Care.

"It has been an enormous privilege to serve in this role, but I regret that I can no longer continue in good conscience."

Following the vote of confidence against Boris last month, Sajid added: "It is clear to me that this situation will not change under your leadership – and you have therefore lost my confidence too."

Following the news, Piers said: "Health Secretary Sajid Javid sensationally resigns from Govt.. blaming Boris Johnson's failure of leadership. Is this the tipping point for the Prime Minister?"

He added: "WOW!!! Chancellor Rishi Sunak has also resigned. Cabinet dominos falling.. it's over for Boris."

"More terrible news for Boris – Dominic Raab is NOT resigning," he later said.

The dad-of-four continued: "It's over @BorisJohnson – resign."

Meanwhile, his former Good Morning Britain co-anchor Susanna Reid tweeted: "Government is imploding."

Piers later confirmed that his normal programme, Piers Morgan: Uncensored which airs on TalkTV has now been given a two-hour slot on the network following the news.

He tweeted: "Going to be a very dramatic night in British politics. Will Boris Johnson be next to resign? I’ll now be anchoring an extended 2-hour special edition of @PiersUncensored from 8-10pm. We'll have all the breaking news, analysis & big-name guests to discuss this huge Govt crisis."

Sunaj and Javid had both resigned after learning the Prime Minister was made aware of the scandal surrounding Chris Pincher.

BoJo had been battling mounting Tory anger after it emerged he was told about a complaint made against Mr Pincher in 2019 – despite No10 initially saying he was unaware.
