Piers Morgan hopes to KO David Walliams in boxing match as he teases BGT return

Piers Morgan wants to square up to TV rival David Walliams in a boxing match.

The pair have had bad blood for years.

Asked who would be his dream opponent, 56-year-old Piers said: “David Walliams. I could give him a good fight.

“If you’re going to fight someone, you’ve got to really want to hurt them. So that’s why Walliams would be the perfect opponent.”

Piers also wants to KO David, 50, by nicking his spot on the Britain’s Got Talent panel.

The presenter was part of the show’s original judging line-up alongside Amanda Holden and Simon Cowell in 2007.

He said: “Simon and I laugh about the idea of me going back and say it would be fun to get the old band back together – me, him and Amanda. That was the best panel. It was the most fun.

“I think Simon was at his best when I was there, goading him all day. So you never know I could be back.”

Piers had talks with Simon, 61, just weeks ago about working together again.

He added: “We chatted about a few options. I like working with Simon. He is great. He is the only person I know who is more competitive than me.

“We just used to be ruthless and competitive all day long when we were filming. I miss that. It was fun.”

Piers was part of the judging line-up for the first four seasons before a shake-up in the fifth.

While Simon and Amanda have kept their seat for the entire run so far, David Hasselhoff and Michael McIntyre appeared for one season before David Walliams and Alesha Dixon took over full time.
