Barking mad Scarlett Moffatt thought her dog was pooing in her new home – before realising it was her own fake tan.

The Gogglebox star has been bronzing her skin for years but was baffled by the mystery brown stains in her lavish kitchen.

Scarlett, 30, said: "My kitchen tiles are a bugger when you’ve got fake tan on.

"The amount of times I’m like, ‘What!'And I think that my dog’s had a little poo.

"But then I’m like, ‘Oh no – it’s fake tan!'"

The reality TV star recently moved into a new house with policeman boyfriend Scott Dobinson and her chihuahua, Bonnie.

Tan fan Scarlett has boasted about her love of touching up her skin for years.

During the first lockdown she posted an Instagram pic of herself ready to slap on more of the stuff.

She wrote: "What type of body can have body confidence… ANY!! I’ve learnt to not cringe at myself in the mirror when I think I look nice now.

"I'’m giving myself compliments today. Especially on my tan."

After she won I’m A Celebrity in 2016, Scarlett even declared she was compensating her Gogglebox co-star parents for previous tanning disasters when she lived with them.

She said: "I paid off the mortgage on my mum and dad’s house for them.

"I just wrote them a letter and said, thanks for being mint, and sorry for leaving fake tan all over the house – and then I put a cheque in for them."

Scarlett got emotional on Tuesday as she posted her first bikini snap in five years.

The Gogglebox star, 30, posed for a picture in a blue and white two-piece bikini, with her hair pinned back and dark sunglasses perched on top of her head.

The queen of the I'm A Celeb jungle laid her insecurities bare as she opened up about her feelings to her 2 million followers.

She talked about her feelings in the caption alongside.

She continued: "I’ve let it down at times and missed out on holidays and nights out because I’ve not liked what I’ve seen in the mirror."

In an admission that many of her fans are sure to relate to, Scarlett revealed she has spent the last 5 years "not daring to wear a bikini".

Scarlett was looking to encourage others, and she explained: "I hope this gives you the confidence to buy that dress, that bikini, not miss out just because your body doesn’t fit into a certain category"

She added: "Because let me tell you all these things are made up nobody is too slim, too curvy, too athletic, too many stretch marks, too much cellulite."

She signed off adding: "Live your best life!"
