Sharon Osbourne defends Piers Morgan as she ‘stands by’ him amid sudden GMB exit

Sharon Osbourne has rushed to defend Piers Morgan after the presenter quit Good Morning Britain today.

The former X Factor judge, who is married to rock star Ozzy Osbourne, took to her Twitter account to share her support for Piers with her 2.3 million followers.

The star tweeted Piers directly as she tagged him in her tweet and said she "stands" with him.

Sharon tweeted: ".@piersmorgan I am with you. I stand by you. People forget that you’re paid for your opinion and that you’re just speaking your truth."

Within an hour the tweet had gained over 10,000 likes and had gathered a mixed reaction from her fans.

One tweeted in response: "I’m sorry but dismissing someone’s suicidal thoughts as a lie is a vile thing to say!"

Another wrote: "His truth is calling a suicidal woman a liar after harassing her in the press for years Sharon. how proud are you to stand in that truth?"

"You are evil. You endorse harassment. Hell awaits you," said another.

"He walked off set because a black man told him he’s too thirsty about Meghan. Get a grip, Sharon," said one.
