Tom Jones has amassed an eye-watering fortune throughout his career

Welsh singing legend Sir Tom Jones OBE is worth an eye-popping £260million.

That’s according to Celebrity Net Worth which has valued The Voice UK judge’s vast wealth after a hugely-successful career spanning six decades.

One of the world’s most popular entertainers, Jones has more recently been a big hit on talent show The Voice UK, gathering a new resurgence in notability with young and old fans alike.

And the 80-year-old, who has sold more than 100 million records worldwide, has seemingly saved and invested well to accumulate huge wealth throughout his career.

Sir Tom has had 36 Top 40 UK hits and also 19 in the United States – and the cash-registers and royalties have never stopped flowing.

His classic tunes “It’s Not Unusual” “What’s New Pussycat”, “Green, Green Grass of Home” and “Delilah” helped catapult the singer to worldwide stardom and make him a very wealthy man.

His music success helped land him acting roles on the small and big screen, demonstrating his diverse skill-set and another profitable income.

But in more recent times, his popular spell as a guest judge on The Voice UK has once-again re-affirmed his status and relevance as a national treasure.

Alongside fellow judges Olly Murs, Will.i.am and Anne-Marie, Jones’ popularity has grown on a show now boasting its tenth series.

He was reportedly paid £500,000 for his latest stint as a guest judge

Jones was a coach when the singing competition TV series first aired on the BBC in 2012, with the exception of 2016 when he was controversially replaced by Boy George.

He returned to his judge’s chair the following year to much delight from viewers and a year later coached Ruti Olajugbagbe to victory on the show, now broadcast on ITV.

It’s a long way from humble beginnings in Pontypridd in Glamorgan where a young first started in the entertainment business.

A son of a coal miner, Jones always wanted to be a soul-singer – and his distinctive robust voice would help him establish himself as one of the world’s most recognised entertainers.

Having found fame performing in Las Vegas and alongside music royalty, Jones finally won notable recognition in 2003 when he won a Brit Award for an Outstanding Contribution to Music.

He famously wrote the film score for James Bond film Thunderball, won a Grammy Award for Best New Artist and was awarded the acclaimed the Ivor Novello Award for International Artist of the Year.

He was also good friends with his childhood icon Elvis Presley up until his death in 1977.

Jones also had an internationally successful television variety show ‘This Is Tom Jones’ which netted him a reported $9million over three years.

The singer has also dealt successfully in property during his life. He famously bought Rat Pack crooner Dean Martin’s LA mansion for $500,000 in 1976, before selling it to the Hollywood actor Nicolas Cage for $6.49million in 1998.

Jones owned an exclusive villa in the sought-after Mulholland Estates neighbourhood of LA. He bought the property for $2.65million and sold for a jaw-dropping $11.28million before moving back to London following the death of his late wife Linda.

This year Jones hopes to celebrate his 80th birthday with a series of rescheduled live tour days.
