Video: Tim McGraw Jumps Offstage to Confront Hecklers After Getting Booed at Concert

The ‘It’s Your Love’ crooner goes back and forth with some audience members near the front row after forgetting the lyrics of his song ‘Just to See You Smile’ before he jumps into the crowd.

AceShowbizTim McGraw doesn’t appreciate being criticized onstage. The country music star confronted some hecklers during his show at the Nugget Event Center in Reno, Nevada on Saturday night, October 9 after forgetting his lyrics.

The 54-year-old singer was performing “Just to See You Smile” when fans apparently grew frustrated because he forgot the lyrics of his song and sounded off. He initially tried to power through the performance despite the mishap, but some audience members near the front row seemed to irritate him.

Tim was seen standing still and staring intensely at the crowd while waving his fingers, seemingly challenging the hecklers to talk face to face with him. Seconds later, he already jumped into the crowd and confronted the hecklers. In a video shared by an audience member, fans sounded displeased that Tim stopped the show to confront the unruly attendees. “Do the show,” one woman was heard shouting repeatedly.

It’s unclear what was said during the tense exchange, but Tim was held back by security guards when he tried to inch closer to the hecklers. He eventually returned on the stage and resumed the show by singing “Where the Green Grass Grows”.

Addressing his off performance that night, the “Live Like You Were Dying” crooner admitted he had been up for 48 hours in order to film the upcoming “Yellowstone” prequel series “Y: 1883” before going up onstage.

“If I forget words tonight, just know I’m old,” he said with a laugh. “And I’m shooting a movie and I’m working with my wife.” He further asked for the audience’s cooperation, “There are a lot of variables in that situation. So, if I forget the words, sing along with me and help me out.”

On “Y: 1883”, Tim stars alongside Billy Bob Thornton, Faith Hill and Sam Elliot. The story is set in the titular year and follows the Dutton family as they embark on a journey west through the Great Plains to start a life on unsettled American land.
