Watch Jimmy Fallon Sing Pandemic-Themed Christmas Song With Ariana Grande and Megan Thee Stallion

‘It Was A… (Masked Christmas)’ is another song that ‘The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon’ host created in reference to the coronavirus pandemic following ‘March Again’.

AceShowbizJimmy Fallon has a special treat for fans this holiday season. Teaming up with Ariana Grande and Megan Thee Stallion, “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” host released a pandemic-themed Christmas song called “It Was A… (Masked Christmas)” along with its music video.

In the Dan Opsal-directed visuals, Jimmy and Ariana first lament spending this year’s Christmas by staying in the house and greeting families through zoom calls. They also sing about covering noses and mouths with masks as well as getting a booster for COVID-19 vaccine.

“I need somebody to hold tonight/ ‘Cause it’s gonna snow (‘Cause it’s gonna snow)/ I need somebody to hold me tight/ And never lеt go (Never let go),” the two sing. “So say that you’rе coming home/ You know it’s Christmas Eve/ Last year I was here alone/ Don’t tell me this year’s the same (Say it’s not the same)/ The same.”

Megan, however, chimes in as she promises to make this Christmas count. She brings lighter energy by rapping, “No more quarantine on the couch/ This year hang that mistletoe/ I’ma kiss everybody that I know.”

“This year’s different, you can tell/ Deck those halls and jingle bells/ Put Purell on everything/ Turkey, egg nog, candy cane/ Hey ho,” the Grammy-winning artist, who wears a sexy nurse outfit, continues. “There’s a good chance of snow/ Hey ho/ Somebody wipe Rudolph’s nose/ Ho hey/ I promise we’ll be okay.”

“It Was A… (Masked Christmas)” is one of songs that Jimmy created in reference to the coronavirus pandemic. Back in March, the TV host unleashed “March Again” featuring John Legend in which they poke fun at self-quarantine. In March 2020, the funnyman dropped a song titled “Wash Your Hands” in which he encouraged his two daughters, Winnie and Frances, to practice health and hygiene as prevention against the virus.
