Billie Eilish will appear in a concert version of Tim Burton’s ‘The Nightmare Before Christmas’ as Sally

If you ever wondered where holidays come from, this is the movie for you. Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas introduced fans to characters like Jack Skellington and Sally, just two of the twisted, spooky residents of Halloween Town.

Since its premiere, this animated production became a favorite Halloween flick of many viewers. After a hiatus due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, a live concert experience featuring this movie and its music returns to Los Angeles.

“Jack is Back! I was so sorry to have missed last Halloween. (We all know why),” Elfman previously said in a statement. “BUT — I’m not skipping this year. Jack wants to get back on stage. I can’t wait to see you all.”

In addition to a live orchestra, several well-known artists will appear as the singing voice of the Nightmare Before Christmas characters. That includes When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go singer, Eilish.

“I’m absolutely thrilled to have Billie [Eilish] joining up with the nightmare crew,” Elfman said in a statement. “This will be a real treat (not a trick).”

Which songs will Billie Eilish perform in the live concert of Tim Burton’s ‘The Nightmare Before Christmas’?

Performing as the lovesick ragdoll named Sally, Eilish will sing “Sally’s Song,” a track included in the original Nightmare Before Christmas soundtrack. She will be accompanied by a full orchestra, as will other singers set to appear during this performance.

“Weird Al” Yankovic will also be on hand to play the role of Lock, while actor Ken Page will reprise his singing role of Oogie Boogie from the 1993 film. Of course, Elfman will voice the main character, Jack Skellington.

Sally was initially voiced by Home Alone, Beetlejuice, and Lemony Snicket’s A Series of Unfortunate Events actor Catherine O’Hara. This performer also starred in the Emmy Award-winning television series Schitt’s Creek.

This performance of ‘The Nightmare Before Christmas’ will take place in Los Angeles

There are some Disney+ originals featuring the Nightmare Before Christmas characters and cast members, including Prop Culture. There’s no word regarding if, or when, a recording of this concert will be available on Disney’s streaming service, Disney+.

As a result, some Eilish fans rushed to get tickets, with the Oct. 29 tickets selling out in a matter of days. There are still some tickets available for the Oct. 31 performance at the Banc of California Stadium.

Music by Eilish is available on most major streaming platforms, including Spotify and Apple Music. Eilish’s Happier than Ever: A Love Letter to Los Angeles is available on Disney’s subscription platform, Disney+, as is Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas.
