X Factor’s Diana Vickers says ‘wizard’ helped cure her endometriosis symptoms

Former X Factor star Diana Vickers says a “wizard” helped cure his endometriosis symptoms.

The former musician, 30, has previously spoken about being in unbearable pain and bed-bound as symptoms of the condition have left her isolated from her family and friends.

Speaking to The Sun, she confessed that after a couple of months of agony, she sought a £1,000-an-hour “wizard” to help end her pain.

She told the publication: “She [magician] said I can do a bit of magic on you. I kid you not, after the first session we did, my bloating went down, and I went back to her again because I was still getting leg pain and the leg pain went.

"And then I had my session, and I was going out, my pain was going, I was in control of my body again.”

Endometriosis is an often painful disorder in which tissue similar to the lining of the uterus grows outside the uterus in places like the ovaries.

Earlier in the year, Diana spoke candidly to her followers about being in “pain” and feeling lonely after experiencing the symptoms.

Alongside a video of her in tears, she had a statement reading: “Another night of pain. Another morning of waking up like I’m nine months pregnant after eating no dinner or breakfast due to feeling I have a blanket in my stomach.

“I’ve been feeling so alone and from the hundreds of responses I got after my post and other women feeling alone with these symptoms, it seems no one can diagnose.

“I’m hoping me sharing how I feel can comfort you and me.”

Diana’s symptoms escalated while she was on a LA work trip, forcing her to seek a specialist’s help.

She added: “I went from being totally anti-social, disengaged from my friends, I spent a lot of time in my bedroom falling asleep in the day, crying.”

“I’d noticed a change in my body, and as a woman, you feel shame in that you don’t really know what’s going on, and it’s very confusing. I was struggling.”

Diana has become a successful fashion designer since her appearance on the hit ITV talent show X Factor in 2008.

After producing a debut line in 2011, embracing her love of boho-chic and vintage-inspired clothing, she now designs her range of clothes for Very.

She also has many acting credits and starred alongside Clit Eastwood's son in The Perfect Wave.
