Joe Biden Bible prophecy: God will use US President to ‘usher in the Tribulation’ – claim

Joe Biden inauguration: Tom Hanks hosts concert

President Joe Biden was inaugurated this week much to the delight of Democrats up and down the country, and the bitter disappointment of Donald Trump’s diehard fans. In the nail-biting race to the White House, many prominent members of America’s evangelical community voiced their support for the Republican candidate, believing his presidency was part of God’s plan for America. Robert Jeffress, a megachurch pastor from Texas, praised Mr Trump earlier last year and called him “an extremely strong leader”.

Some Christians, however, believe it was President Biden’s historic victory in the November election that was part of God’s plan all along.

According to the Christian End Times blog Bible Prophecy – Signposts of the Times, the world will now closely watch the US President to see how his policies fulfil Biblical prophecies.

America’s evangelists, in particular, believe the US has to safeguard Israel’s interests in the Middle East as the Bible says a strong and secure Israel plays a critical role in the End Days.

A key issue is the construction of the Third Holy Temple in Jerusalem, which niche groups of Christians believe will become a seat of power for the Antichrist and the Second Coming of Jesus Christ.

Signposts of the Times said: “We as Christians, and in particular, those that understand and follow Bible prophecy will be watching with much interest over the next days, weeks and months ahead to see how God will use President Joe Biden to put in place the final pieces of the Last Days puzzle that will usher in the Tribulation period and the system of Antichrist.

“In the meantime, pleas are going out for Christians to return to studying their bibles, to humble themselves before God and to stop listening to the words of man, but the call of Jesus Christ.”

According to the Bible, the Tribulation will be a seven-year-long period of strife and chaos.

Before the Tribulation, the Rapture is supposed to strike, taking up or snatching away Christian into heaven.

The Antichrist will then be allowed to rise, usurping power in the Third Temple and falsely declaring himself the Messiah.

The lands of Israel will also be besieged by the invading forces of Gog and Magog, as described in the Book of Ezekiel.

The Tribulation will then begin and it is sometimes known as the Time of Jacob’s Trouble.

Jesus Himself said in Matthew 24: “For then there will be a great tribulation, such as has not occurred since the beginning of the world until now, nor ever will.”

The Second Coming of Christ is then supposed to happen towards the end of the Tribulation.

Christians believe Christ will return to Earth to wage war against the hosts of the Antichrist.

The forces of good and evil will wage the war of Armageddon, after which Jesus will establish a 1,000-year-long kingdom on Earth.

Signposts of the Time said: “There is still work to be done in this world as the fields are ripe unto harvest.

“Believers in Jesus Christ need to get back to what we were called to do… spread the gospel of Jesus Christ and build his kingdom.

“We also need to continue to look upwards, as the return of Jesus Christ is at hand.”

However, not all Christians look to modern-day events to try and prophesy the return of Jesus Christ.

According to Pastor Stephen Witmer of Pepperell Christian Fellowship in Pepperell, Massachusetts, attempts to date the Second Coming are futile and not in the spirit of Christ’s teachings.

He said: “Waiting for an event when we don’t know it’s timing can be uncomfortable and demanding.

“It seems that Jesus wants us to feel this discomfort because he wants us to be always prepared for his coming.”
