Best theme park tickets & hotel stays to book now for summer from £49 per person

THEME parks aren't just home to thrilling rides, but also some of the most fun hotels, too.

We've rounded up some of the best deals you can get for an out-of-the-ordinary stay next time you visit a theme park.

Many top parks are offering deals on short breaks at their on-site hotels as well as entry tickets, so families can enjoy a thrilling break on a budget.

Theme parks have been able to open since April 12, when outdoor hospitality restrictions were lifted and their hotels were able to open from May 17.

Lots of the parks have hotels a short stroll from the park gates, making a trip so much easier for families, especially at the end of a tiring day on all the rides.

Plus, many are themed, adding an extra dose of magic to your mini break. Here are the best deals for summer…

Paultons Park & Peppa Pig World

Based in Hampshire in the New Forest, Peppa Pig World is part of Paultons Park, with a combined total of 70 rides and attractions across both parks.

The park's new themed world Tornado Springs recently opened and the new area covers four acres, with eight new rides and experiences, including the UK’s first free-spinning rollercoaster of its type.

Those who book a Paultons Park break can stay for two nights and also get a second Park Day entry for free. Mid-week breaks start from £52 per person.

Thorpe Park

Thorpe Park in Chertsey is home to the SAW, Stealth, Colossus and Nemesis Inferno rollercoasters.

The park has great value overnight stays, with breaks at Thorpe Shark Cabins, based on a family of four sharing, from £49 per person.

Thorpe Shark Cabins has self-contained cabins that are right on the Thorpe Park resort, so you're just a short walk from the rides and attractions.

Overnight stays include two-day theme park entry, breakfast on the second day, free parking, Wi-Fi and 10 per cent off at the park shops and restaurants.

Guest can also save 30 per cent when they book day tickets in advance, reducing the cost of a ticket from £50 on the day to £35 per person online.

Legoland

The family theme park Legoland in Windsor has overnight stays in the Legoland Resort or a hotel close to the park from £207 based on four staying.

Breaks include one-day entry to Legoland and breakfast.

The park is also offering up to 40 per cent discount on day tickets booked at least seven days in advance, which means tickets are from just £29 per person.

Chessington World of Adventures

Not only is Chessington World of Adventures a theme park with over 40 rides, it also has its very own zoo and a hotel complex.

Those looking for a family break in and around book an overnight stay at a hotel either on-site or close to the park, with midweek breaks starting from £234.

Day tickets can be booked for £32 per person.

Gulliver's Land

A great option for families with younger kids, Gulliver's has over 50 family-friendly rides, shows and attractions.

The park currently has day tickets for £19, and it's worth keeping an eye on Wowcher, who frequently offer discounts on family short breaks to the parks.

The Stay & Play packages typically include overnight accommodation and theme park entry for up to four people.

Alton Towers

The theme park and resort complex in Staffordshire has 2021 short breaks from just £88 per family mid-week – and stays at Alton Towers Hotel, Enchanted Village Woodland Lodges and Splash Landings Hotel are all included.

Resort packages include breakfast, evening entertainment and a free round of nine-hole Extraordinary Golf.

Those who want to visit for the day can make savings on day tickets if they book online at least five days in advance. It means a ticket that would normally cost from £53 on the day will be reduced to £34 online.
