Will I have to quarantine at a hotel when returning from Dubai?

No, the UAE was not included on the list, so anyone returning from Dubai will not have to quarantine at a hotel at their own expense when returning to the UK.

How do the quarantine hotels work?

Instead of enforcing the new restrictions on all arrivals, only 22 countries are on the list which have to stay at a quarantine hotel.

This includes Portugal, South Africa and all of South America.

Transport Secretary Grant Shapps argued that the new restrictions should only apply to passengers arriving from countries with known new strains of coronavirus which would include Brazil and South Africa.

Foreign Secretary Dominic Raab also supported of targeted quarantine hotels, while all other arrivals will still have to quarantine, but at their own homes instead.

No, holidays abroad are currently not allowed due to the UK lockdown which bans all non-essential travel.

The city soared in popularity with celebrities and influencers due to the limited travel restrictions and good weather.

The UAE was also removed from the travel corridor list, only for the entire list to be suspended due to the UK coronavirus situation.

Only people travelling for work, health or education are allowed right now, which means some influencers are still able to visit Dubai if for work purposes.

Hotel quarantines are at the expense of the traveller and could cost up to £1,600 per person.

This Morning fans were been left fuming after fitness influencer Sheridan Mordew appeared on the show to insist that her Dubai holiday was an "essential work trip" – and necessary for her "mental health".

Influencers and reality stars have faced fierce backlash in recent weeks for jetting abroad during the pandemic, with Olivia Attwood even encouraging fans to teach them a lesson by unfollowing.
