From eco-travel to Halloween holidays, here's the latest travel news for autumn

When you are planning a getaway it can be pretty hard to stay up to date with all of the latest offers and experiences out there.

Luckily for you, we’ve picked out the most exciting travel launches and news, from terror trams in Orlando, Florida to an immersive art exhibition in London.

If you want a more sustainable holiday, then check out EasyJet’s new eco-certified collection or plan an entire trip responsibly with new green platform Ecosy.

Meanwhile keen cyclists might be tempted to the Moroccan Atlas Mountains for an epic adventure on two wheels.

It’s just so easy being green

EasyJet holidays is launching a new ‘eco certified’ collection, in partnership with the Global Sustainable Tourism Council (GSTC), for customers choosing a more sustainable holiday.

The GSTC certification means accommodation complies with the highest social and environmental standards on the market.

There are hundreds of place to choose from, from family resorts to stylish boutique hotels, in countries such as Cyprus, Portugal, Spain and the Greek island of Kos.

Be a responsible eco-traveller

A new travel planning platform, Ecosy, has launched to help responsible travellers plan their trips sustainably.

The brainchild of CEO Rebecca Thompson, she created it after discovering there was no easy-to-use system that allowed you to book eco-transport, accommodation and vehicle hire all together.

Ecosy allows travellers to search for UK-wide low-carbon transport and green accommodation through third-party partners, with electric vehicle (EV) and cycle hire partners to be added shortly.

Fright Nights

Universal Orlando has unveiled – or should that be unleashed – its Halloween Horror Nights, guaranteeing frights beyond visitors’ wildest nightmares.

There will be ten Haunted Houses, five Scare Zones, two outrageous shows, sinfully good food and drink and more.

Dare to board the Terror Tram, which winds through a hideous version of Hollywood; come face to face with Michael Myers in his ‘Halloween’ house (perfect for those about to flock to the new Halloween Ends film this week); or try to dodge evil scarecrows who will attempt to harvest your soul in Scarecrow: The Reaping. Good luck!

Tickets from £72.

Inside Art in marble arch

London has just launched a major new, permanent attraction. Frameless, located opposite Marble Arch, takes art out of, well, its frames, and surrounds the visitor in it instead.

An immersive, colourful, multi-sensory experience involving tech, music and animation, it brings the work of more than 40 artists to life.

You’ll see a selection of curated masterpieces in a new light, including paintings by Dali, Van Gogh, Monet, Klimt, Bosch and Kandinsky.

There are four galleries to explore, including an interactive one that lets you get involved in creating the images, plus a stylish cafe and, of course, a well-stocked gift shop.

Tickets from £15.

Morocco’s mighty mountains

Keen cyclists wanting warmer weather can book Saddle Skedaddle’s road cycling holiday in the Morocco’s Atlas Mountains.

The ten-day trip takes you from magical Marrakech up into the Toubkal National Park and on to the pretty town of Ouirgane.

You’ll tackle one of Africa’s highest paved roads, the infamous Test Pass (Tizi-n-Test), before exploring the vast expanse of the Souss Valley, then make the journey to Agadir on the Atlantic coast before heading back to Marrakech.

It’s an exhilarating experience – so, saddle up!

December 27-January 5, from £1,535pp.
