Fuming mum slams dinosaur theme park after paying £30 for 'cheap sandpits and attractions that are falling apart'

A MUM has slammed a dinosaur-themed attraction after she paid £30 only to find a "tiny sandpit and falling apart statues".

Jenny Hindley, from Scarborough, visited pop-up event Dinosaur Adventure World with her partner Chris and two kids Toby and Finley.

However, she warned families to avoid it after paying £30 – only to find a "muddy field full of c***".

Writing on a local Facebook group, she said: "For anyone thinking of going to the 'Dinosaur Adventure Park' in The Mere please don't waste your time.

Just paid £30 for two adults and two kids to what can only be described as a muddy field full of cheap c***.

"There was about 5 dinosaurs pretty much falling to bits and an inflatable slide.

"There was also an opportunity to dig for fossils which was an old sand pit. Think it's awful that this is even allowed."

The event, which is still selling tickets online, says: "We have some amazing interactive life size Dinosaurs, 2 Baby Dinosaurs, life size Dinosaurs Eggs.

"Also a huge inflatable Dino slide for the extra thrill. The kids can even dig up dinosaurs bones for the ultimate experience."

However, Jenny's video shows a few large dinosaurs behind fences, while her pictures show a tiny plastic sandpit.

Others agreed online, with one person saying: "I was at The Mere yesterday and watched many an unhappy family being ripped off.

"Terrible ripping people off like this!"

Another person said: "Thank you for posting was planning on taking family here us 7 kids and grandparents I'm certainly not after seeing this."

Sun Online Travel contacted Dinosaur Adventure World for comment.

For parents who want their kids to see some dinosaurs, you can also see dinosaurs at Crystal Palace in London, with sculptures of the extinct animals, while there is the Lost Kingdom Dinosaur Theme Park at Paultons Park.

And a new Jurassic Park-style attraction hopes to open in Spain this year, with life-size beasts, excavation activities and even a zip line.
