Greece scraps ALL Covid travel rules in time for summer holidays

GREECE has scrapped all of its Covid travel rules in time for the summer holidays – giving Brits a welcome boost.

Since yesterday, holidaymakers no longer need to show they are vaccinated or have had a Covid test to enter the country.

Despite confusion – after sources suggested the rules would stay in place until next month – Brits travelling to the country no longer need to be vaccinated.

The UK government website states: “The Greek Government has confirmed that from May 1, travellers arriving from the UK, USA and European Union countries are exempt from the requirement to show a vaccine certificate, proof of a negative test, or a certificate of recovery from Covid to enter Greece.”

Also since May 1, Greece ditched the requirement to show proof of vaccinations to enter shops, restaurants and attractions.

The only Covid travel rule remaining in place is regarding the wearing of face masks in public venues which will be scrapped from June 1.
