Man pays just £25 for four-star holiday – here is how he did it | The Sun

A MAN has revealed how he bagged a four-star break with his partner for just £25.

Neil White booked his bargain trip to Poland through Jet2holiday's Bid for a Break scheme.

The Liverpool resident ended up paying only £25.88 for a three-night stay for two people at the Xerion Hotel in Krakow.

He secured the mega-cheap break after coming out triumphant in Jet2holidays 'Bid for a Break' competition.

The tour operator is giving holidaymakers the opportunity to bid for their next getaway each week.

To get involved, all you need to do is download the Jet2 app on the App Store or Google Play, and add in your bid to the nearest pence.

If you are the only user to bid that amount and that amount is the lowest, then you can buy the holiday for that price.

Bids open at 9am every Monday and can be placed until midday on the Thursday, before the lowest unique bid is announced on the same day.

White is the 20th holidaymaker to have successfully entered ‘Bid on a Break’ with Jet2holidays so far this year.

Other winners have jetted to the Canary Islands, Greece, Cyprus, Spain, the Algarve and Turkey, with some paying as little as £1.40.

White said: "I entered Bid for a Break to try and win a cheap holiday and I’m not sure why, but I came up with £25.88, which was a pure guess. It just happened!”

Bidders who are unsuccessful will still receive a £60 discount code off their next holiday with Jet2.

Steve Heapy, CEO of Jet2.com and Jet2holidays, said: “Congratulations to Neil for successfully bidding for a holiday with Jet2holidays through our ‘Bid for a Break’ campaign."

He added: "With some fantastic holidays available to bid on each week, make sure you get involved and have a bid in mind for next week’s holiday. We wish Neil a lovely holiday in Krakow!”
