New look at Disneyland Paris’s Frozen land – set to open next year | The Sun

WORK has started at Disneyland Paris on a new area of the park inspired by Frozen.

Guests will eventually be able to visit Arendelle, which will be home to Elsa's ice castle, as well as a Nordic-inspired village that will have both shops and a restaurant.

At the centre of the new land will be a huge 7.5 acre lake, just like Arendelle's fjord in the animated films.

Visitors will be able to watch performances and water-based shows on the lake, with seats offering a 360 degree view of the action.

And from the lake, Elsa's ice palace can be spotted, nestled within an icy mountain range.

The film's characters will also be found keeping cool in the wintery wonderland.

There will be a replica of the Frozen Ever After boat ride attraction, currently open at Epcot at Disney World in the Norway Pavilion, which takes guests on a voyage through the kingdom of Arendelle.

Blueprints for the park were first released two years ago, showing us what it might be like and now there is another image revealing more.

Mock-up concept pictures show an art-nouveau restaurant, situated on the edge of the lake, surrounded by the kingdom's promenade.

Frozen lovers will have to wait a bit longer before they can visit, however, as the new land is not set to open until 2023.
