Party pads around the UK you can rent with all your friends

As the long-awaited ‘Freedom Day’ approaches and pesky restrictions (hopefully) end, why not book one of these UK pleasure palaces?

From a sumptuous Downton-inspired manor to a beach side party house, it’s time for an overdue reunion with our closest friends.

Missed having the whole family together?

Glan Towyn in Anglesey could be the perfect multi-generational getaway (and there’s even room for the dogs to come, too).

English Garden Villa, Lincolnshire

Anyone for a pool party?

Who needs Palm Springs this summer when Woodhall Spa in the Lincolnshire Wolds does the job? Part of Bainland Lodge Retreats, the English Garden Villa is a sprawling, dog-friendly wonder lodge with a funky interior and is ideal for a huge summer party.

The villa sleeps up to 24 and has its own ten-metre heated swimming pool, tennis court and brace of hot tubs hidden away in the private walled garden.

There’s also an outdoor dining area with a firepit, a vast pink kitchen, a games room and a cavernous lounge.

From £38pp/pn (£3,699 for 24 guests staying four nights).

The Bath House, East Sussex

Roll up, roll up for all the fun at the fairest party house on the south coast.

Built in 1868, The Bath House is a former Turkish steam room just 100
metres from the beach in St Leonards-on-Sea, East Sussex.

Spread over two floors, this huge party pad has a funky urban interior – all bare brick, reclaimed wood and vintage furnishings.

Although it has sleeping space for up to 11, a 14-seat dining area and a cinema room, the biggest draw is its fantastic lounge.

Spread across the entire top floor, the 60ft by 40ft light-filled space has a vaulted ceiling, a host of retro carnival accoutrements and a fully working bowling alley –
ideal for late-night tenpin tournaments.

From £59pp/pn (£650 per night with 11 guests).

Glan Towyn, Anglesey

Promising sweeping sea views and an impeccable decor with a colourful William Morris vibe, Glan Towyn in Rhoscolyn is the pearl of Anglesey.

This stylish, detached house sleeps 12 (and a couple of hounds) and is ideal for any big reunion.

Inside is dominated by the beautiful statement kitchen, all vaulted ceilings, plus sliding doors on to an alfresco dining area with sea and mountain views.

There are two balconies, a playroom for the nippers, and a bar and games room for the grown-ups, plus a hot tub and sauna.

And being a moment’s wander from the beach, it’s equipped with a stash of paddleboards, kayaks and wetsuits on site, ready for hitting the water.

From £65pp/pn.

Loch Ness Maison, Highlands

With a rare elevated position on the shores of Scotland’s most famous loch, sea monster-bagging should be oh-so-easy from Loch Ness Maison.

Set in five acres, this grand lochside house sleeps 13 and several bedrooms have curved windows for 180-degree views.

It also has a games room with an American pool table, foosball and a retro arcade, plus a separate cinema room.

However, the highlight has to be the private beach with seating and a campfire
area, perfect for late-night Nessie-spotting – just don’t forget your binoculars.

From £97pp/pn (£3,774 for 13 guests staying three nights).

The Hyde, Herefordshire

Ever dreamed of having your very own life-sized train set?

Well, look no further than the Netherwood Estate on the Herefordshire-Worcestershire border, home to Britain’s longest private narrow-gauge steam railway.

Stay at The Hyde, a grand medieval hall and cottage that sleeps up to 20.

With its rather regal dining room, it has more than a touch of the Downtons about it.

There’s also a tennis court, a hot tub and a maze in the gardens.

And if you can’t be faffed to cook, then book into Pensons, the estate’s Michelin-starred restaurant, which has a private dining room for 18 and is a ten-minute walk from the main house.

From £32.50pp/pn.

In association with Laithwaites.
